9th Annual Summer of Death Contest Dates
July 19, 2008 - The Ghettolympics
No--that's not the Chariots of Fire you're hearing, it's the inspiring sounds of the first Summer Of Death contest for 2008 from SLUG Mag--The Ghettolympics! Featuring events such as the hippie high Jump, the triple jump, synchronized skating and the quest to see who has the longest power slide, The Ghettolympics is a sure fire way to start off SOD 2008. The torch will be lit on Saturday, July 19th. Registration for the Ghettolympics will be from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. in the Sears parking lot next to Big Deluxe on 730 S. State St. The comp will begin at 3 p.m.
